General Vickers hardness calculation formula

After making indentations with a hardness tester, first measure the dime and substitute it into the following formula:

  1. Original formula: HV=1.8544*F/D1/D2 F is the test force D1D2 is the diagonal
  2. Calculation formula: HV=1.8544*F/[(d1/k+d2/k)/2]/[(d1/k+d2/k)/2] The same as others, K is the objective lens magnification

However, the above formula is relatively complicated. The simplified formula is: HV=1.8544FK*K/D1/D2. For example: the test force is using a 5 kg objective lens as 40 times d1 and d2, respectively: 6.48 6.50. Then the simplified formula is: 1.8544 *5*1600/6.48/6.50=352 HV5
